Port Everglades’ New Intermodal Facility Construction Beings – Construction has finally begun on Port Everglades’ new 42.5-acre Intermodal Transfer Facility. The facility will have the capacity to handle additional cargo from larger ships and will aid in the transfer of containerized cargo through the port to and from the Florida East Coast (FEC) main line.
