EU Trade Pact with Central American Countries Takes Effect – The European Union’s (EU) trade agreement with Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama takes effect August 1st. The aim of this agreement is to reinforce economic integration and promote sustainable development in the region. The agreement will also open up the markets for goods, public procurement, services and investment on both sides.

China Signs MoU with Canada – Chinese and Canadian trade delegations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday. The MoU is meant to bolster investment between the two countries. Last year, Canada became the largest recipient of Chinese outward-bound direct investment.

Colombia Signs Trade Deal with EU – Beginning August 1st, trade barriers between Colombia and the European Union (EU) will be lifted. The trade deal will open up markets for EU and Colombian exporters, bilateral trade in agricultural products and eliminate customs duties on industrial and fisheries products.
