Port of Tyne Container Gantry CranePort of Tyne Unveils New Gantry Crane – The United Kingdom’s Port of Tyne has unveiled a new gantry crane that will allow the port to expand operations. The crane weighs 750-tons, stands 70 meters high and has the ability to handle vessels up to 13 containers wide.

First Freight Vessel Sails from China to Europe – The Yong Sheng, a 19,000 ton cargo ship, departed from Port Dalian on August 8th and is expected to arrive at Port Rotterdam 35 days later on September 11th via Russia’s Northern Sea Route. The traditional southern route via the Suez Canal has a 48 day transit time.
