Port of Hueneme Hosts 2nd Annual Banana Festival – The Port of Hueneme hosted their “2nd Annual Banana Festival, A Celebration of a Diverse Working Port” on Saturday, September 28th. The City of Port Hueneme, Chiquita and Del Monte were the largest sponsors of the event and gave away thousands of bananas, the port’s largest import.

EU-Central America Association Agreement Comes into Effect – On October 1st, the European Union (EU)-Central America Association Agreement came into effect and removed trade barriers between the EU, Costa Rica and El Salvador. The agreement aims to support economic growth, democracy and political stability in Central America.
