Worldwide Stabilization in Air Cargo
The International Air Transportation Association (IATA) reports that air cargo for 2014 has stabilized from the “boost” it experienced in the final quarter of 2013. In March, the industry was up 5.9% and capacity grew 3.4%.The stabilization is attributed to a halt of “improvements to business confidence and world trade.”

Contract Negotiations for Dockworkers to Begin Soon
The Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) will begin negotiations next week to replace their existing contract, which expires in June. After a 10 day shutdown that occurred in 2002, both organizations want to make sure that disruptions do not occur this season.
