federal aviation administration logoFAA Seeks Ban on Drone Deliveries – The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced this week that it seeks to ban package delivery by drone aircraft.  Internet retailer Amazon publicized their drone plans last year during a segment on the television news program “60 Minutes.”  The FAA is aware that interest in commercial drone use is growing quickly and appear willing to reevaluate and revise regulations in an attempt to keep pace with the technology.

FDA Extends Review of E-Cigs – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has extended the public comment period for rules on electronic cigarettes.  The e-cigarette industry has expanded rapidly in recent years to become a nearly $2 billion industry.  The FDA doesn’t currently have the power to regulate e-cigarettes but is seeking that authority.
