TARIC | The Integrated Tariff of the European Union

TARIC, the Integrated Tariff of the European Union, is the EU’s official customs tariff database used to identify duty rates, trade measures, restrictions, and import or export requirements for goods. It combines EU tariff codes with measures such as customs duties, anti-dumping duties, tariff quotas, suspensions, agricultural rules, and trade controls. Importers, exporters, and customs brokers use TARIC to check how goods should be classified and what charges or requirements apply when trading with the EU.

TARIC (Tarif Integre de la Communaute) is the EU’s integrated electronic tariff database combining all trade policy measures applicable to goods imported into the EU, including duty rates, trade remedies, quotas, and prohibitions.

  • All EU member states use TARIC codes for import and export declarations
  • TARIC codes extend the 8-digit CN code to 10 digits for specific EU trade measures
  • Accessible online at the European Commission’s TARIC portal
  • Required for accurate duty calculation and compliance with EU trade measures
